Blitz was aquired from Carey McMillan at Grouse point Kennels on a strong gut feeling.  Man, it was a right on feeling.  I laid eyes on Blitz at 2 days old, he still had a tail.  I held each pup once, went back and picked up Blitz and said to Carey.  This is my pup call him Blitz.  My next versatile hunting dog.   The rest is history . 

  Blitz showed me very early on a cooperation level that was amazing.  At 12 weeks old he was pointing, retrieving to hand, doing yard triple marked retrieves in the yard, backing with intensity, style that was eye popping.  He would hit the water with so much heart and desire it made him a natural doing duck searches.

  As a young pointing dog, Blitz at 5 months displayed his keen long range nose.  Blitz learned quickly that when he hit scent he must slam on point and stay staunch.  If not the bird was taking flight.  By the end of hunting season, Blitz showed everything it takes to develop into a top quality gun dog .

  Blitz lives in our home with us, as all our dogs do.  He has a calm layed back nature, gently playing with my grand children and puppies.  Blitz is part of our family and a very loved member.  Yes, Blitz is a couch potato, spending his quiet time crashed in my bed with his head on my pillow.                                          June 5, 2004 I ran Blitz in a NAVHDA Natural Ability Test, sponsored by the

Minnesota Chapter of NAVHDA and Blitz received a Prize II, 106 pts. out of a

possible 112 pts..

   I started running Blitz in AKC Hunt Tests in mid Sept. 2005 and finished his AKC Master Hunt Title on Nov. 5, 2005.  Blitz earned 6 qualifing scores in 8 attempts.

  On May 5, 2006 we took Blitz to the International Show held in Hutchinson, MN.

Blitz took 3 V 1's in 3 shows to get his International Show Title.  Blitz was handled in the show ring by Ms. Lynn Erickson.

  June 24, 2006 we traveled to the Wisconsin NAVHDA Chapter and Blitz earned

a NAVHDA  UT Prize I award with a maximum 204.  Blitz had 14 finds in his 1/2hr. run.  This qualified Blitz for the NAVHDA International Invitational and a

trip to Mexico, Mo. 

  Sept. 29, 2007 found Blitz and I in Mexico, Mo. running in the Prestigious

NAVHDA International Invitational.  Blitz had another excellent day earning his

Versatile Championship with a maximum score of 200.

  With all of Blitz's accomplishments the most rewarding is Blitz's masterful savviness handling wild birds.  He is truly all bird dog, one of the best grouse dogs I have owned in 43yrs.  

 Blitz's puppies show tremendous potential , with 20 NA prized dogs, 1 UT prized,

2 VHDF prized dogs, 2 International Show Champions and numerous hunting

companions. We are looking forward to seeing his offspring hunt, test in NAVHDA Natural Ability, Utility,Versatile Championships, and AKC Hunt tests.
